Meet Amanda Ratz, LPC

Amanda Ratz is a licensed professional counselor with experience supporting a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. She brings deep passion and compassion to her work, with a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships in a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment.

Amanda’s approach is strengths-based and solution-focused—meeting clients where they are, and empowering them to grow into the healthiest version of themselves. She believes mental and emotional health are deeply connected to overall wellness, and she integrates practical tools and evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience.

Amanda has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, motherhood, chronic stress, self-esteem issues, and negative self-talk. She is especially passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions—whether planned or unexpected—and is honored to walk alongside you as you process, reflect, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Amanda also offers Brainspotting, a powerful, brain-body based therapeutic modality designed to help clients process and heal from trauma and emotionally charged experiences. Brainspotting helps clients access areas in the brain where trauma is stored by identifying specific visual points that activate or calm the nervous system. Through this focused work, clients can begin to release emotional and physical pain, reprocess difficult memories, and gain new insight into their experiences.

Each session is personalized to the client’s needs—some may include just a few moments of brainspotting, while others may use it for the majority of the session. Amanda gently supports clients in tuning into their bodies, finding grounding, and creating a calm space for meaningful, transformational healing. It’s especially helpful for clients who feel “stuck,” experience chronic stress, or want to process past events with more depth and intention.

Amanda believes you are the expert in your own life. She’s here to listen, support, and guide you—never to judge. Seeking therapy is a sign of strength, and Amanda celebrates your decision to prioritize your mental and emotional health. Together, you’ll create space for growth, laughter, and healing—because you deserve a joyful, fulfilling life.
